Eyebrow correction after tattooing: why, when and how

More and more often, girls and women of all ages began to resort to eyebrow tattooing. Tattooing is a very convenient and practical type of makeup that will help you forget about touch-ups for a long, long time. Depending on your age and skin characteristics, eyebrow tattooing can retain its brightness for up to 3 years.

There are several types of tattooing, which we will talk about in this article. And you can decide for yourself which method will be better and what is still worth choosing.

Briefly about tattooing

First, let's talk about what this procedure is, which is almost impossible to do with your own hands.

So what it means is:

  • use of a special coloring mixture;
  • the mixture is injected under the skin to a depth of 0.8 millimeters;
  • The master determines the depth, focusing on the density of the woman’s skin.

By the way, this technology is somewhat similar to a regular tattoo, but involves the use of a special one:

  • application techniques;
  • equipment;
  • coloring mixtures.

In addition, the skin is minimally damaged. And it takes relatively little time to completely remove the paint.

The maximum period required for the complete “care” of the color mixture is three years and depends on:

  • on the type of paint;
  • on the characteristics of the skin.

Tattooing significantly increases a woman's attractiveness

Note. After the procedure, the skin at the treatment site becomes redder and small swellings form. But if everything was done correctly, then after three days the skin condition will normalize.

The price of eyebrow microblading depends on the salon in which it is performed - the more “elite” the establishment, the higher the cost. Of course, you shouldn’t trust those salons whose service prices are too low.

Contraindications and prohibitions

The procedure itself is practically painless and safe, but it also has certain contraindications. In particular, it can be dangerous in at least three cases.

The procedure has a number of contraindications and prohibitions

SituationDescription
A cosmetologist is not a specialistIn this case, various negative consequences are possible, including infection.
Tendency to allergiesIn some extremely rare situations, intolerance to certain components and ingredients used in the process is possible. This is another reason why it is so important to have tattooing performed by a professional - he will be able to determine the likely risk.
Skin FeaturesIf a woman has high sensitivity or an extremely low pain threshold, then it is better to refuse the procedure. It is strictly contraindicated for those who have poor blood clotting.

What is permanent makeup

The principle of permanent is reminiscent of a tattoo - the pigment is embedded under the skin. But, unlike a tattoo, the paint remains only in the upper layers. Therefore, the result looks natural and the discomfort is minimal. Unless over time it gradually brightens and correction will be needed. But if one day you want to change something, you won’t have to painfully remove the paint for years.

Details about the correction

Now let’s talk about how long it takes to get correction for eyebrow tattooing. Everything is simple here - if everything went well, you liked the result, then the repeated full-scale application of the coloring pigment should be done in about a year and a half.

Correction must be performed at certain time intervals

If you are not satisfied with the result, then there is no need to rush to visit the specialist again:

  • firstly, the color will appear in about two to three weeks - then it will be possible to accurately determine how necessary such a visit is;
  • secondly, it takes at least a month for the skin to completely heal - there is no need to renew it earlier.

Note. Each person's skin has its own characteristics. Therefore, the same coloring pigment will appear differently in different women. Naturally, the timing of correction will be different.

Some doubt whether correction is needed after eyebrow tattooing - it is not just necessary, but necessary:

  • to restore color;
  • to change the intensity of the hue;
  • in order to correct the master’s mistakes, if any.

Therefore, there is no need to doubt whether it is necessary to have eyebrow tattoo correction - sooner or later you will have to turn to a professional for help again, even if the master did not initially inform you about the need for such a procedure.

Specific dates

This section tells more specifically how long it takes to correct eyebrow tattoos.

So, you can contact the master:

  • as soon as the skin recovers;
  • the pigment is evenly distributed under the skin.

That is, after about 25-28 days (during this period the skin is completely restored) and up to three to four months (when the paint begins to noticeably lighten).

Note. It is important not to miss the period when the pigment lightens. Otherwise, you will no longer have to do a correction, but a full application of paint. As mentioned above, most often, if the correction was completed on time, a full-scale re-application of paint is necessary no earlier than a year and a half later.

The specialist will indicate the exact timing of the correction.

Correction is also required to ensure uniformity of pigment under the skin.

This type of tattoo restoration/renewal is carried out:

  • when the skin is completely healed;
  • the protective crusts will fall off on their own;
  • Places of uneven application and distribution of the color mixture will be clearly visible.

The correction process involves additional coloring of those areas where the pigment is unevenly distributed, as a result of which the eyebrow shade becomes uniform.

You can also use this procedure:

  • change outline;
  • thickness or width;
  • eyebrow length.
  • correct the shape of the eyebrows if they are different.

However, you need to understand that the color or shade you choose will differ after the master introduces it under the skin.

There may be several reasons for this:

  • properties of the skin;
  • features of the diet and menu;
  • type of decorative cosmetics used, etc.

Timely correction will allow you to always look charming.

Remember also that if you do not want the completed tattoo to become lighter than expected, then avoid frequent and prolonged:

  • exposure to direct sunlight;
  • visits to swimming pools, saunas;
  • swimming in open waters.

How long does permanent eyebrow makeup last?

There is no single standard for all cases, because the technique, skin type, paint, care, and the presence of correction all affect. On average, this is 1-2 years, although for some it can be up to 5 years. Dark shades fade more than light ones, the hair technique lasts longer than the powder technique, and on oily skin the pigment fades faster.

In conclusion

Now you know why eyebrow correction is needed after tattooing, when it should be done and who to entrust this procedure to. Choosing an eyebrow shape

The shape is always selected individually, taking into account the natural appearance of the eyebrows and the contours of the face as a whole. Conventionally, all options can be divided into four categories - straight, curved, rounded and with a break. They can be low, medium or high according to the location of the arch.

Keep in mind that permanent makeup greatly affects your facial expression. For example, eyebrows that are too lowered make the look look heavy, while eyebrows that are too raised make you look eternally surprised. If you wear glasses, be sure to come to the specialist wearing them to take into account the specifics of the frame.

Elizaveta, unfortunately, the photo is not very high quality and it’s not very clear what you mean by “2nd correction”. Tattoo correction is carried out if you intend to continue wearing permanent makeup. Updating makeup to adjust the shade or nuance of the shape is possible no earlier than a month after the previous procedure. It is also better to evaluate eyebrow color by the end of this month. As far as you can see from the photo, the gray background outline appears due to the fact that the new form is narrower than the previous one. During correction, the width of the eyebrow cannot be adjusted downward; this issue can only be resolved with the help of a laser.

    How to choose eyebrow color

    To make the result look as natural as possible, you need to choose a shade that matches your hair color and color type as a whole. For example, blondes are recommended to use light brown tones a couple of shades darker than their native ones. Light-skinned brunettes should choose a chocolate range, and dark-skinned brunettes should use dark brown and black shades.

    For owners of light brown and ash-colored hair, gray and gray-brown colors are best suited. For redheads - muted terracotta or chestnut, and for ladies with noble gray hair - gray and brown. Modern manufacturers offer a wide range of pigments that can be combined and mixed, so this is not a problem!

    Is it possible to remove permanent eyebrow makeup?

    If the procedure was unsuccessful or for some other reason you want to get rid of the permanent, there are two ways. It’s a long time to wait until the paint fades naturally and make corrections. A faster option is laser removal, but keep in mind that you will need a series of unpleasant procedures that can also take a year.

    Beautiful examples

    To appreciate all the advantages of the hair technique, you need to visually study the beautiful photographs of tattoo specialists. We invite you to evaluate the transformations of girls who have undergone the procedure from competent specialists. Thus, there is a chance to once again verify how dramatically the look and appearance changes with the right color and shape of the eyebrows. Modern technologies give women of any age, with any natural characteristics, the opportunity to have a well-groomed face and give dizzying looks.

    spraying technique

    To understand what kind of technique the masters use during the process and how they do it, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the sequence of the procedure. How to do a smoky tattoo:

    1. The master cleanses the skin using cosmetic products.
    2. Makes markings, combs eyebrows. The form and all the nuances are agreed upon with the client.
    3. Anesthetizes the desired area using a drug containing lidocaine.
    4. Apply a rough stencil using a pencil to show the client.
    5. Shades the resulting result until a haze forms.
    6. A product is applied that consolidates the result and has an anti-inflammatory effect.

    On average, the process lasts about 2 hours. How powder eyebrows are done, videos and photos can be seen below.

    How eyebrows heal

    Swelling, irritation and redness practically disappear within a day, with the exception of those with overly sensitive skin. After another day, the shade becomes darker and brighter. After a couple of days, dry crusts form that cannot be peeled off or touched. They should come off on their own - this takes 5-7 days.

    After this, the shade of the makeup will lighten because it will be overgrown with a new stratum corneum of skin. The final result can be assessed after a few weeks. After about 1.5 months, correction is prescribed as necessary.

    Permanent eyebrow makeup – before and after photos

    To help you finally decide whether you want to get your eyebrows done, and to understand what it looks like in real life, we have collected a large selection of before and after photos!

    Pigments

    Pigments consist of: a coloring matter (these are organic and inorganic substances of natural origin, umber, sienna, ocher, ultramarine, soot, etc.) and a base in which the coloring matter is homogenized (fats, alcohol, sorbitol, water).

    Pigments used for micropigmentation procedures (permanent makeup) on the face must meet the following requirements:

    • Dyes must not contain toxic or carcinogenic components. Unfortunately, most pigments produced in Southeast Asian countries do not meet this requirement.
    • The pH value of the pigment must be within the physiological norm. Please note that body tattoo pigments often have an alkaline or acidic pH value. Contact of such pigment with mucous membranes is dangerous.
    • Dyes must be resistant to UV rays and must also have a sufficiently long period of particle disintegration. The uniformity of dye removal is also of great importance. High-quality dyes lighten evenly over time, without significant changes in color shade. If low-quality pigments are used, you can get crimson eyebrows or even green, blue or lilac lips, and red eyelids. This property of pigments can only be verified empirically.

    Results after a month of healing

    The first two weeks of leaving were the most difficult. The remaining half of the month passes at a normal pace, without affecting the girl’s active life. The healing process then occurs independently: the color is restored, peeling goes away (this can be accelerated by using a moisturizer twice a day: morning and evening, before bed), and all prohibited actions are allowed again.

    During this time, most prohibited procedures are permitted, but not all. Until the end of the first month of healing it is not recommended:

    1. Go to baths and saunas.
    2. Rub and scratch the area of the brow ridges vigorously.
    3. Sunbathe and stay in the open rays of the sun for a long time without protection. In the subsequent time of powder tattooing, it is also better to protect yourself with the help of sunscreen so that the result lasts longer and does not fade before the due time.
    4. Drink drinks with a high percentage of alcohol, energy drinks.

    But at this time you can already apply decorative cosmetics, which is the main problem for most girls and women now.

    Due to improper care in the first two weeks, negative consequences may occur:

    1. Repeated swelling. This may be a sign of drinking alcohol during the healing period.
    2. Itching and burning. The reason for this is usually premature peeling off of the crusts. This means that an infection has entered the unhealed wounds, and the body is intensively fighting it.
    3. Inflammation. Foreign bacteria act on this. Often the reason is the use of creams with a non-gentle composition.
    4. Other body reactions caused by allergies. They are removed with the help of allergy pills.

    At the end of the month, the first correction will take place, in which you can express all your dissatisfaction with the master. At this moment, a decision is made: either the master corrects his work, and you go through the healing process again, or with the help of a laser you completely remove powdery permanent makeup.

    features of the procedure and advantages

    Powder spraying for eyebrows is one of the new coloring techniques, where the pigment itself is applied to the top layer of the skin. This principle creates the effect of a light and natural haze, similar to the design of eyebrows with shadows. Most often, powder shading is done in order to emphasize natural eyebrows and visually make them thicker. This natural coloring is quite stable, it reduces the daily time for getting ready and refreshes the face. Powder coloring occupies one of the leading positions among salon procedures.

    Who is suitable for a tattoo with a shaded effect?

    This tattoo technique will be ideal in the following cases:

    • there are “gaps” in the eyebrows where hairs do not grow;
    • very light eyebrows and hair (for this type, clear and bright eyebrows created by classic tattooing will look too vulgar)
    • I don't have enough time to tint my eyebrows every day.

    The powder spraying technique has the following advantages:

    • the most natural look (after the procedure it is difficult to distinguish coloring from real hairs);
    • accuracy;
    • lack of clear lines;
    • thanks to shallow work with the instrument, eyebrows heal much faster compared to classic tattooing;
    • suitable for thin and light hairs;
    • gives additional volume;
    • the ability to control the degree of staining during the procedure, including the ability to achieve a translucent effect.

    The disadvantages of powder tattooing include:

    • short-term effect;
    • a more expensive procedure compared to conventional tattooing;
    • not suitable for mulattoes and brunettes, who prefer dark, rich and clearly defined eyebrows.

    Eyebrow care

    The specialist will give recommendations, taking into account your skin type and pigment depth. Basically, you shouldn’t wash your face for the first couple of days, and use chlorhexidine and cotton swabs for cleaning. You cannot rub or wipe anything, take a hot bath, go to the sauna or to the beach.

    You can apply healing and softening ointments so that the crusts do not dry out too much and go away faster. On hot days, be sure to protect your eyebrows from the sun. You shouldn't put sun block on them, but use glasses and a hat.

    Does it hurt?

    As you know, any tattoo is performed using needles of varying thicknesses that introduce dye under the client’s skin. Before injections, an anesthetic is applied to the surface of the skin, usually a gel containing an anesthetic substance (for example, lidocaine).

    Judging by the reviews of girls who have done permanent eyebrow makeup, this procedure is quite painful, the degree of discomfort depends on the chosen technique and on the person’s individual pain threshold.

    The process of powder spraying is the least painful, this is due to the shallow depth of the punctures and the fact that this technique does not require dense filling of the entire eyebrow space with pigment. However, the disadvantage of this technique is the significantly shorter retention of the result: powder eyebrows will last a year and a half. The most painful sensations are described by clients who have undergone a classic tattoo procedure, designed for a period of three to five years.

    Is it worth doing?

    If the client has little free time and wants to reduce the daily ritual of getting ready, then powder spraying is definitely worth it. At the same time, you should make sure that there are no contraindications or serious pathologies in the body. Tattooing with shading is simply necessary for those who have thick eyebrows. By correctly adjusting their shape and using high-quality permanent products, you can refresh your face and make it more expressive. In addition, powder spraying makes the image more well-groomed and neat.
