Thread lifting with mesothreads, today, is one of the best procedures in the fight against age-related skin sagging due to loss of elasticity.
The essence of the technique is to introduce into the skin a certain number of threads consisting of biomaterials that create a frame for the problem area. The threads perfectly fix the skin in a new position, tighten it and, with a certain insertion technique, smooth out wrinkles.
Having undergone the procedure, you receive a powerful lifting effect immediately after the procedure.
Mesothreads consist of polydioxanone, a modern material used in surgery as a suture for more than 10 years. They are completely biocompatible and dissolve within 180 days. At the same time, the frame created by the threads is preserved for 2 years.

What to do after the procedure
The needles used for thread lifting cause little damage to the skin, so punctures from them heal within 2-5 days after the procedure.
From the second to the sixth day, the face is wiped with non-alcohol antiseptics: chlorhexidine, miramistin, to prevent infection. Ointments: Bepanten, Lyoton will speed up skin healing. ATTENTION!

On the first day after the procedure, apply cold compresses for 15 minutes every 2 hours. The next day the patient can return to his normal daily routine.
4D mesothreads - how to deceive time and gravity?
3D, 4D, 5D - who is bigger? The modern world has literally gone crazy in pursuit of these treasured letters! Today, 3D technologies, which became a revolution a few years ago, are already hopelessly outdated, now it is a thing of the past. How many D's are considered the norm these days? Some are already dreaming of nine, but I think that this is still far away. Yes, if you think that all of the above applies only to televisions and cinema equipment, then you are mistaken! Today, volumetric technologies have even entered beauty salons!
Here's an example: a popular anti-age procedure is a facelift with 4D mesothreads; this procedure is also called “thread lifting.” And it all started back in 2012 in South Korea. It was from there that the revolutionary new product began its victorious march through cosmetic salons around the world. Our country was no exception. What kind of procedure is this? Will it help us in the fight against aging? Let's try to figure it out.
It all started with a frame
Mesothreads are a kind of reinforcement for the skin of our face, a frame that holds the tissue in a given position. They are made exclusively from materials that are biologically compatible with our skin, such as caprolac, polydioxanone. These materials have long been used in medicine in general and plastic surgery in particular. They are hypoallergenic and dissolve after some time without a trace, while the lifting effect remains! But first things first.
The system consists of a thin and very plastic needle, inside which the mesothread itself is stretched. The cosmetologist inserts these needles under the patient's skin and models the shape of the face. This is the secret of 4D! A cosmetologist can literally shape the face in all directions and at different depths. Naturally, he needs special skills and high professionalism for this!
After the procedure, the needles are removed, and the mesothreads remain to form a frame; in other words, they are literally overgrown with the patient’s own tissues, collagen fibers. After about six months (in some cases 9 months), the threads dissolve without a trace. However, the frame they formed remains! It is this that prevents our skin from sagging and the oval of our face from sagging! From now on, the laws of gravity do not apply!
I'm not afraid of injections
The procedure itself is usually very easy to tolerate, there is practically no pain, but the cosmetologist can offer light anesthesia. Everything is done on an outpatient basis and takes about an hour on average. There are no marks left on the skin from the injections, since the needles are very thin - they do not injure the epidermis, but seem to push the tissues apart!
The rehabilitation period is minimal. Cosmetologists recommend being careful with your facial expressions for a couple of days after the procedure, not visiting the solarium, bathhouse or sauna for 2 weeks, and not doing massage for a couple of months. The result of reinforcement with mesothreads is noticeable literally the next day - cosmetologists assure that this way you will lose 4-5 years. And all this without surgical intervention. And this effect lasts for an average of two years. When it stops, nothing prevents you from going through this procedure again.
Advantages and disadvantages
Threadlifting is a borderline technique between non-invasive lifting methods and plastic surgery. What's good about it:
the procedure is carried out without general anesthesia - creams and gels are used as an anesthetic;
manipulations are carried out using the finest needles, which do not cause pain to the patient and cause slight discomfort;
a thread insertion session lasts no more than 60 minutes;
The tightening effect is noticeable immediately and lasts up to 2 years;
the intervention occurs without incisions or incisions, so no scars are formed;
the procedure is performed on an outpatient basis and does not require rehabilitation in a hospital;
there is no allergy to mesothreads;
threadlifting is combined with other cosmetological techniques.
The disadvantage of thread lifting is that it does not cope with pronounced age-related changes.
In addition, mesothreads are a foreign object for the human body, so the technique has side effects and complications.
Restrictive measures for the patient last up to 3 months.

How does the procedure work?
Preparation
Before the procedure, you should buy and take any antiviral drug to prevent herpes. Usually a course of 3-4 days is enough.
To reduce the likelihood of developing edema, agents are prescribed to accelerate blood clotting. In some cases, indicators increase without medications (with varicose veins or taking contraceptives).
It is possible to avoid hematomas if:
- do not take medications with acetylsalicylic acid or any painkillers;
- Do not carry out the procedure during menstruation.
Stages
First carry out a thorough make-up removal and antiseptic treatment of the skin with alcohol-containing solutions.
Lidocaine-based cream or gel is used as local anesthesia. The drug is applied to the injection area in a thin layer under a film for half an hour, and then removed.
Patients with a low pain threshold require cannula anesthesia, when the anesthetic substance spreads through the puncture point to the entire operated area.
The material is introduced strictly subdermally deep (0.1-0.2 cm parallel to the surface or intersecting).
The depth should correspond to the boundary between the reticular and papillary layers of the dermis. When the threads are parallel, the distance between them cannot exceed 0.1 cm.
After insertion, you need to lightly press on the skin near the tip of each needle to fix the segment inside. Then the needle is removed, and the mesothread remains in the tissue.
Types of mesothreads
Biomaterial strings not only tighten tissues and hold them in the desired position, but also activate collagen production processes, rejuvenating the skin. Depending on the severity of the patient’s problems and the problems being solved, different types of mesothreads are used.
Monofilament or linear threads
Monofilament is a smooth string for universal use, 25-90 mm long. They are installed in any part of the face: at the dermal level for lifting and in the muscle for increasing tone. Monofilaments are used to prevent age-related changes on the face, reinforce the neck, chin, skin on the temples and model the contour of the lips.
Spiral threads, Screw or Dauble Screw
Spiral threads are 1 or 2 monofilaments twisted into a spring. They stretch during insertion, and after removing the needle they return to their original position. Springs tighten fabrics better than monofilaments and give a pronounced lifting effect.
Spiral mesothreads are introduced at the subdermal level. The length is 50-60 mm.
FOR REFERENCE
Ekaterina Imshenitskaya
Monofilaments and spring threads belong to the 1st generation of biomaterial.
Thread braids, TORNADO
“Pigtails” are 2 monofilaments twisted together. They hold tissue better than 1st generation material, so they are introduced into the most problematic areas or areas with high density. Spiral mesothreads are introduced into muscle tissue, middle and deep layers of skin.
Needle threads with notches, Cog
The notches along the entire surface of the threads help them to be securely fixed in the tissues, which is why kogi are considered the most effective for tightening the oval of the face and cheeks. The strings are inserted into the middle layer of the dermis.
Liquid mesothreads
Liquid mesothreads are a bio-gel made from hyaluronic acid and zinc chloride. It is introduced into the dermis using cannulas, along the lines of the future frame. The body reacts to the gel by tightening the tissues at the injection sites, which gives a tightening effect.
ATTENTION!
Ekaterina Imshenitskaya
Liquid mesothreads are not used under the eyes and in the neck area.
The technique is used for loss of elasticity and tone of the skin, dehydration. From 0.1 to 3 ml of gel is injected into one zone.

The cosmetologist chooses which type of thread is suitable for the patient.
Popular brands of mesothreads
The following brands are used in Russian cosmetology:
- Beaute'lift V Line - needle threads with spikes;
- BIO S LINE - 5 types of threads;
- V-up thread - with resorption in 3 months;
- Cog Uni - threads with notches;
- DarVin - with prolonged resorption, up to 1 year;

Indications and contraindications for lifting with 4D mesothreads
4D mesothreads are a popular technology for facial correction. Indications for their use are as follows:
- gravitational ptosis of the lower third of the face and cheeks;
- drooping of the outer edges of the eyebrows;
- unwanted folds on the neck and chin;
- uneven oval face;
- "shaved";
- pronounced heavy nasolabial folds;
- pronounced labial-marginal folds (“puppets”).
Contraindications to the procedure are:
- inflammation of the skin in the area where the threads are inserted;
- acute infectious diseases;
- tendency of the skin to scar;
- some autoimmune diseases;
- hemophilia;
- feverish condition;
- pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- oncology.
What effect should you expect?
Mesothreads tighten tissues and hold them in the desired position immediately after implantation. The main result is achieved after 2-3 months, due to the growth of a collagen framework around the strings. It depends on the individual characteristics of the patient - how quickly the processes of tissue regeneration occur. If collagen synthesis is slow, the effect of the procedure will be minimal.
The result is also influenced by the qualifications of the cosmetologist and the degree of development of side effects and complications after the procedure.
Thread body lifting
- loose, atonic skin (inner thighs, arms, buttocks);
- excess skin (fat pads) in the buttocks area, so-called. banana roll;
- cellulite on the buttocks;
- breast ptosis;
- “apron” on the stomach;
- folds in the knee area;
- folds and creases on the neck and décolleté.
Thread body lifting is a technique at the intersection of aesthetic medicine and plastic surgery.
And only doctors, and those with special professional training and knowledge, can perform implantation. GMTClinic successfully performs thread lifting of the neck and décolleté, buttocks and abdomen, inner thighs, as well as arms and shoulders safely, professionally, and effectively. In addition to instantly tightening and reducing tissue, thread lifting helps rejuvenate and improve the condition of the skin day after day. A reliable frame of connective tissue will be formed in the thread management area and the natural production of collagen and elastin will begin, which together will give an impressive effect of non-surgical rejuvenation! For body lifting, GMTClinic doctors use threads with a high degree of safety and reliability, with proven results. Threads are ranked: by material (caprolactan, polydioxanone, etc.), profile (smooth, double, notched, etc.), implantation method (cannulas, needles) and duration of effect. The final choice in favor of certain threads is made by the doctor, based on the individual characteristics of the patient and the objectives of implantation. Thus, with severe ptosis and a large volume of correction, as a rule, threads with notches are used, and for reinforcement, i.e. prevention of tissue entanglement in patients over 20 years of age - smooth threads.
For thread body lifting, GMTClinic uses threads from trusted manufacturers Tightening Thread, Beaute'lift V LINE and Lead Fine Lift, Aptos.
Tightening Thread – polyodixoanone threads. This hypoallergenic material is completely compatible with our body. Suitable for those with thin and sensitive skin. The safety of Tightening Thread is also supported by the fact that they were originally used in surgical ophthalmology. The effect of implantation is visible immediately and is maximally manifested after a couple of weeks, when the swelling after the procedure subsides. Tightening Thread dissolve within 9 months, and in their place a naturally formed collagen framework is formed, which supports the skin, preventing ptosis for up to 2 years.
Beaute'lift V LINE and LeadFineLift are premium threads and also consist of sterile and hypoallergenic polydioxanone, which breaks down into water and carbon dioxide in 6-8 months, triggering cell renewal and the formation of a natural collagen framework that does not allow the skin to sag. On average, thread placement takes only half an hour, and the results last for one and a half years or more.
Aptos threads have been successfully used in aesthetic medicine all over the world for decades. In fact, this is an intermediate option between non-surgical and surgical lifting, an ideal solution for the prevention of ptosis and correction of existing problems, starting from the age of 30. The threads are made from materials Ꜫ-caprolactone and L-lactide that are compatible with the human body, and therefore do not cause allergies. The effect of installing threads lasts up to 2 years. Using Aptos threads, GMTClinic doctors successfully strengthen and tighten tissue in the upper arms, above the knees, in the abdominal area, and on the inner thighs.
Side effects
Mesothreads are a foreign object for the body, despite the fact that they are made of hypoallergenic material. Tissues react to this irritant, and adverse reactions occur.
Temporary unpleasant consequences of the procedure:
- Hematomas and pain at puncture sites.
- Lumpiness of the skin, bumps. The mesothreads take the correct position within 1-2 weeks, and during this period folds and thickening of the skin are observed. If they last longer, the string is not installed correctly. This mesothread is removed.
- Swelling. They are a natural reaction of the body to invasive intervention, but are more pronounced due to fluid retention in the tissues. For 7 days before and after the procedure, it is recommended to avoid everything that provokes swelling: fatty foods, pickles, excess sweets, alcohol.
A procedure with technology violations leads to the development of complications:
- infections;
- facial asymmetry;
- lumps and bumps that persist for a long time.
If complications occur, the patient should consult a doctor.
Rehabilitation
The goal of rehabilitation measures after thread lifting is to prevent displacement, rejection or premature resorption of mesothreads. What is prohibited during this period:
- Smoke after the intervention for 6-8 hours.
- Use decorative cosmetics and alcohol lotions for 3 days after the procedure.
- Exercise and lift weights for up to 3 weeks.
- Do massages, scrubbing with hard particles, cosmetic procedures with pressure on the face - up to 3 weeks.
- Overheat your face - up to 3 weeks. Avoid hot baths, saunas, solariums, the beach and hair drying.
- Visit the pool for up to 3 weeks.
IMPORTANT!
Ekaterina Imshenitskaya
The patient must control facial expressions for 3 weeks after thread lifting and avoid tension and strain on the facial muscles.
Cosmetologists recommend the following care program during the rehabilitation period:
- wear a face bandage for up to 2 weeks;
- use cosmetics with UV protection;
- make oxygen masks and use cosmetics with oxygen;
- sleep on your back, on a high pillow, at an angle of 30° - 2-3 weeks.
ATTENTION!
Ekaterina Imshenitskaya
Cosmetic procedures during the rehabilitation period are carried out only as prescribed by a doctor.
Reviews
Users rate the thread lifting service 3.8 points out of 5.
I feel like an idiot. I believed the advertisement and put mesothreads in my cheeks, 10 for each. Now it seems to me that the jowls have become even larger. It's good that the swelling has gone away. Mesothreads are a fashion trend with unknown results.

Expensive and painful. I noticed the result only after 4 months, but I consider it to be the merit not of the mesothreads, but of the entire complex of procedures that I do.

I noticed results after the procedure the next day. And now, a month later, it’s like my wings have grown. She put her face in order.
