Facial contouring with fillers. Photos of how oval correction is done, modeling, tightening, reinforcement

What is contour plastic surgery?

Contour plastic surgery is a technique for introducing fillers using injections to form facial contours, fill wrinkles, and straighten folds.

Fillers are special gels that are injected under the skin to smooth out the dermis . This filler can create volume anywhere on the face while lifting and tightening the skin.

When using fillers based on hyaluronic acid to shape the oval of the face, it is possible not only to make it more attractive and youthful, but also to stimulate the body to produce its own elastin and collagen, which significantly rejuvenates the skin. You can find out more about whether it is possible to rejuvenate yourself using facial contouring with hyaluronic acid here.

Contraindications

You cannot resort to such a procedure if the patient has:

  • acute infectious, bacterial diseases or exacerbations of chronic diseases;
  • lesions of the chin - rashes, acne, wounds, etc.;
  • dysfunction of the circulatory system;
  • tendency to form hypertrophic scars;
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • fear of injections;
  • allergy to the components of the drug;
  • diabetes;
  • the presence of silicone implants in the chin.

Caution should be exercised when injecting filler into scars, as it is difficult to predict what the result will be.

Is it harmful?

Previously, only synthetic fillers were used, which had a lot of contraindications and side effects.
When using them, unpredictable migration of the filler was often observed, while the body turned on the defense system and rejected the foreign body. These consequences could only be dealt with surgically. You can learn more about the consequences after fillers in this material. At the moment, the safest fillers are used, the active substance of which is hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid component found in human tissue :

  • cartilaginous;
  • epithelial;
  • connecting;
  • nervous.

The administration of the drug does not cause allergies and has a minimum of side effects, which often appear due to the incompetence of the cosmetologist or poor-quality material.

Hyaluronate serves as a link for water molecules in the lower layers of the dermis, helping to improve skin turgor and provide abundant hydration. In addition, the component improves cellular immunity and protects against the effects of free radicals .

As soon as the aging process begins in the body, the concentration of hyaluron in the body drops sharply, while the skin begins to experience a moisture deficiency and loses its former elasticity. Small and then deep wrinkles, sagging contours, loss of shape, and ptosis gradually appear.

To correct the contour of the face, dense fillers are used, which increase the volume of the cheekbones, chin, and cheeks. This process is called bioreinforcement using hyaluronic acid.

When is it recommended and how is the procedure performed?

Contour modeling of the oval face using hyaluronic fillers has certain indications for which the best effect is achieved. Indications for the procedure :

  • ugly chin shape;
  • thin, asymmetrical lips with a blurry outline;
  • sunken cheeks;
  • creases and wrinkles of different origins and depths;
  • asymmetry or deformation of facial contours resulting from injuries or operations.

Contour plastic surgery can be used by any woman who is unhappy with the shape of her face. There are several ways to make contours aesthetically pleasing.

We invite you to watch a video about how the contouring procedure is performed:

Lift

Filler injections for this type of correction can be injected into different areas, it all depends on what result the patient wants to get. The filler is injected deep under the skin. Injections are carried out using ultra-thin needles that leave virtually no marks on the skin. Before sending a woman for the procedure, the cosmetologist will select a filler depending on the patient’s wishes, for example, if you need to tighten up your shave, the filler can be injected into both the cheekbones and cheeks (you can find out more about the specifics of using fillers in the cheeks here). When changing the shape of the chin, the filler is introduced into this area in a fan manner . You can find out more about chin correction with fillers here.

Correction

It is performed for facial asymmetry, sunken and sagging cheeks. The whole procedure is carried out in the same way as during a lift, only the filler is injected exactly into the place that is to be corrected. When performing this procedure, different types of drug administration can be used in order to achieve maximum effect.

The correction procedure can last up to 40 minutes - it all depends on the amount of the drug injected and the areas to be corrected.

Fillers not only correct the oval, but also other areas of the face:

  • nose correction;
  • applying fillers to the forehead;
  • correction of the nasolacrimal groove.

Getting rid of a double chin

Fillers based on hyaluronic acid are an ideal preparation that can not only remove a double chin, but also tighten sagging neck skin.

The procedure is performed without anesthesia, but if you have a very low pain threshold, the doctor can numb the skin at the injection sites with a special gel or spray. The duration of filler injection is 15-20 minutes , and the result will be noticeable after the swelling goes away.

For wrinkles

The most common and popular procedure at the moment in cosmetology clinics is the removal of wrinkles by introducing hyaluronic acid directly into the fold area.
The estimated cost of contour modeling in Moscow, taking into account the price of the drug, is 11,500 rubles, in St. Petersburg – 9,000 rubles.

The results are amazing!

The effect that modeling gives cannot be achieved by any cosmetic procedures. The result can only be compared with plastic surgery.

  • wrinkles are smoothed out - including crow's feet, fine wrinkles around the lips and marionette lines,
  • the cheekbones are lifted, they become high and beautifully defined,
  • nasolabial folds go away,
  • contour modeling allows you to correct the shape of the face, make the oval clearer, remove jowls,
  • restore the volume of the lower third of the face,
  • men can make their faces more masculine by enlarging their chin, which previously could only be achieved using facial implants,
  • allows you to lift the eyebrow arches and “open” the eyes, making them visually larger,
  • you can raise the corners of your lips, increase your lips in volume and correct their shape,
  • remove dark circles under the eyes and sunken eyes,
  • the color and condition of the facial skin improves, it becomes elastic, saturated with moisture,
  • The technique allows for rejuvenation of thin skin of the neck and hands,
  • create the effect of a sunken cheek and much more.

Types of gels

Fillers are a group of drugs that are often used to correct the face and body. There are three types of fillers .

Synthetic

The active substance in these drugs may be:

  • Silicone.
  • Paraffin.
  • Polyacrylamide.

Benefits of the drugs:

  • long-lasting effect - these fillers do not dissolve and do not interact with the skin;
  • low and affordable cost.

Disadvantages of drugs:

  • often cause allergies and inflammatory processes;
  • may begin to migrate under the skin;
  • are not excreted from the body, and if the effect is unsatisfactory, then fillers can only be removed surgically.

Biosynthetic

They differ significantly from the first type in that the substances used in their production are most compatible with the skin.
Main components :

  • insoluble polymethyl methacrylate;
  • collagen;
  • carboxymethylcellulose;
  • hydroxyapatite;
  • polycaprolactone.

Biosynthetic fillers dissolve, but only slowly - over 2-3 years, and there is no need to inject them again.

A positive property of biosynthetic ones is that they very rarely cause inflammatory processes.

Flaws:

  • over time, severe swelling may be localized at the injection site;
  • vascular occlusion and necrosis;
  • ability to migrate.

Biodegradable

The safest and most effective group of fillers, which has a minimum of contraindications and side effects. The components of drugs in this group are completely absorbed and excreted from the body. Even if side effects occur, the drug can be effectively removed from the body by using antidote injections.

It is worth noting that preparations based on hyaluronic acid have disadvantages only from incorrect administration , otherwise there are no side effects.

Complications

After the manipulation, early and late side effects may appear. The first group consists of swelling, hematomas, redness of the skin at the injection sites, pain, inflammation and itching. Such conditions are considered a normal reaction and disappear on their own after a few days.

The greatest danger is a delayed complication - granulomatosis, which can be caused by non-compliance with the administration technique or an incorrectly selected agent.

Administration techniques

The filler injection technique is chosen by the cosmetologist , depending on what effect needs to be achieved during contouring of the oval of the face.

Let's look at the most common ones:

  1. Linear-retrograde .
    This technique is used if you need to strengthen a specific area. In this case, the filler is injected intradermally or parallel to the dermis. The needle is inserted under the skin at an angle of 45 degrees and as the needle exits, the gel is evenly released from it, while the filler lifts the skin.
  2. Fan introduction. The principle is the same, but only the lines of the drug diverge in the shape of a fan from one puncture.

    A maximum of 4 rays are retracted; however, the needle cannot be removed, it is simply unrolled. This method is used to inject the drug into the corners of the lips, to enlarge and lift the chin and cheekbones (you can find out more about fillers in the cheekbones here).

  3. Net . This method follows a linear principle, but the injections are made in small lines that are 3 mm apart. Then a second row of drug administration is performed, but only perpendicular to the first - a mesh is obtained. Thanks to this method, plastic surgery of the cheekbones, chin and oval of the face is performed.
  4. Sandwich technique . This is a layer-by-layer introduction of the drug, and the density of the layers is different, which makes it possible to perform a 3D lifting procedure.

Advantages of liquid lift over traditional surgery

  • Lower price - the procedure costs much less than plastic surgery, since it does not require preoperative preparation, anesthesia, postoperative recovery and other associated costs.
  • Subtle and natural result, amenable to correction. The consequences of surgical plastic surgery can only be corrected through repeated surgery, which is difficult, costly and dangerous.
  • There is no recovery period - after a liquid lift, only slight redness of the skin, minor hemorrhages and swelling are observed, which disappear quite quickly.
  • Safety – surgical skin tightening, even performed by an experienced and highly qualified cosmetologist, carries risks associated with anesthesia, bleeding, infection and other possible consequences. Liquid lifting is completely safe.

However, this lifting method is not recommended for those who want long-term results and for patients with significant age-related tissue changes. In this case, it is better to prefer traditional plastic. Therefore, when choosing a lifting method, it is recommended to take into account the advice of a specialist.

The best drugs

  1. Juvederm is a highly concentrated filler based on hyaluronic acid, used for contouring, and its use is advisable only if it is necessary to create a pronounced effect.
  2. Restylane is a drug created on the basis of natural hyaluronic acid, which practically eliminates the risk of developing undesirable consequences. They are used to correct facial contours, remove deep creases in the nasolabial area, and enlarge lips (you can learn more about filler injections into nasolabial folds here, and you can read more about lip contouring in this material).
  3. Surgiderm is a new generation French drug.
    There are a lot of varieties of this filler, the range of applications is very wide. Many cosmetologists consider Surgiderm to be the best filler, and capable of displacing its competitors from the cosmetic market in the near future.

What should you avoid?

  • Once the procedure for correcting the oval of the face has been carried out, you cannot take a horizontal position for 4 hours.

  • Also try not to lean forward.
  • Do not rest the lower part of your face on your hand - the gel may shift.
  • Do not drink alcohol for 2 weeks, limit coffee in the morning.
  • Don't sleep with your head buried in your pillow.

Alternatives

  1. Photorejuvenation – with the help of light pulses they act on the epidermis, rejuvenation takes place at the cellular level.

  2. Laser lifting – the skin is exposed to a high-frequency laser pulse.
  3. Vacuum massage is an excellent tool for tightening the facial contour.
  4. Ultrasound not only tightens the oval of the face, but also deeply cleanses the skin.
