This article will discuss the topic of breast augmentation with hyaluronic acid and hyaluronate-based filler.
We will also tell you about all the pros and cons of the procedure. In the world, a very firm and high bust has always served as an indicator of health and youth in women. As almost the entire male sex says, the female breast is the most attractive part of the female body.
This is why most girls are able to go under the plastic surgeon’s knife for the sake of beauty. However, not everyone is ready for this, and it is for such patients that special injections were invented.
In addition, you will find out the current prices for this procedure and for all minor costs (compression garments, tests, possible correction).
Contraindications
Breast correction with preparations based on hyaluronic acid, like any other procedure, is carried out only in the absence of contraindications.
Experts do not recommend resorting to breast augmentation surgeries and procedures if you have the following health problems:
- Chronic diseases of internal organs.
- Cardiovascular and oncological diseases.
- Presence of breast tumors.
- Increased blood sugar.
- Mastopathy.
- Impaired functioning of the immune system;
- Skin problems - rashes, wounds, injuries, inflammation.
In addition, you should refrain from the procedure during pregnancy and lactation.
The technique will not give the desired results in the following cases:
- Pronounced tissue prolapse.
- Loose skin in the décolleté area.
- If you want to enlarge the mammary glands by several sizes (during correction, severe stretching of the tissue is possible).
If a woman is planning a pregnancy, this procedure will also be inappropriate.
How long will the effect last?
For twelve months, the girl will admire her perfect breasts. After this period has expired, it is necessary to carry out another correction, but the volume of the gel will be much less, only forty percent of the original dose, after another six months the same correction should be carried out, but now fifteen percent of the original dose.
That is why breast augmentation in this way (using fillers based on hyaluronic acid) is a very promising method. The patient's body will experience slight stress during this operation. This drug will be administered under local anesthesia using thin cannulas. The patient herself will be conscious during all this, and she has the opportunity to control the process herself.
Breast asymmetry is very easily removed, both during the operation itself and after it. Also, if the patient does not like the result, it is possible to remove the drug from the body by introducing a dissolving enzyme drug, for example, hyaluronidase.
Operating principle
Hyaluron is a large molecule that can retain large amounts of moisture. The drug activates the production of its own collagen, therefore making the skin smoother, more elastic, moisturized and smoothes out wrinkles.
In addition, injections help tighten and enlarge the breasts and give them firmness. The product is considered the most effective and safe, does not cause allergies and is not rejected by the human body.
The operating principle is as follows:
- The substance penetrates into the deep subcutaneous layers and fills empty space. Due to its dense, viscous texture, the acid remains in the tissues for a fairly long period.
- The substance introduced under the skin actively attracts moisture, thereby creating volume and moisturizing the skin.
Over time, the substance is eliminated from the body naturally.

Natural breast enlargement at home
For women who dream of large breasts, but for various reasons do not want to enlarge them with implants, hyaluronic acid or fat, there is an alternative - home methods. There are many of them, but the effectiveness and safety of some, not without reason, is questionable.
Recommended methods include daily breast massage and exercises that stimulate the pectoral muscles located under the bust. Over time, the bust may indeed rise, giving the appearance of being larger and more attractive, but without dramatic effects.
When it comes to advertised tablets, ointments or gels that are supposed to have a positive effect on bust size and appearance, caution should be exercised with any such products as their effects have not been scientifically proven and many of the active ingredients may cause irreparable harm to health.
Usually these are hormonal compounds and extracts with a high concentration of active substances that disrupt the hormonal balance of the body. Hormonal stimulation, in turn, increases the risk of developing hormone-dependent tumors, including cancer.
You also cannot trust the ingredients of many medications, as they may contain dangerous substances not listed on the packaging.
To find out how best to enlarge your breasts, you need to make an appointment with a plastic surgeon and consult with him. But be prepared for the fact that you will be offered minimally invasive options first. Surgery should be considered by the doctor and the patient as a last resort.

Advantages
The technique has a number of undeniable advantages:
- Safety. Modern fillers include hyaluron, which has properties identical to hyaluronic acid produced by the body, so there are no negative effects.
- Simplicity of the procedure. The session lasts no more than two hours and does not require surgical interventions.
- No anesthesia . Only local anesthetic is used.
- Painless. The introduction of fillers is quite easy.
- Multifunctionality of drugs. Using modern fillers, you can change not only the volume, but also the shape of the breast, as well as eliminate asymmetry.
- No allergic reactions. The consistency of the filler is close to the composition of the tissue of the mammary glands, which means that palpation and the manifestation of allergies are excluded.
- Short recovery period (several days).
- The result can be assessed immediately after the procedure , since with this technology the swelling is not as pronounced as with other methods, and the filler is immediately distributed in the corrected areas.
- Additional corrections may be made after some time to maintain effectiveness.
Removing gel from the breast (breast)
We met with Sarvar Kazimovich Bakirkhanov and discussed the issues of removing gel from the breast, which are still relevant. Previously, breast enlargement using gel was a very common practice - it was fast, simple, and invisible. However, not everything is so smooth with this technique - the introduction of a shell-free gel provoked its migration, the gel itself became a good breeding ground for the development of anaerobic microorganisms, changed tissues and even muscles. Therefore, even today, operations to remove gel from the breast are performed quite often. Sarvar Kazimovich told us how this method was used previously, what its consequences are for the body, why the gel needs to be removed and how this is done.
Sarvar Kazimovich, tell us why this gel was introduced before, and why now you have to remove it?
Humanity has always strived for minimally invasive techniques - in principle, this is progressive and correct. But these new techniques are not always truly positive and effective. And in the early 90s, several types of gels were developed, including polyacrylamide gel, which began to be widely injected into different parts of the body - into the chest, legs, buttocks, penis, nasolabial folds. Almost all volumetric contouring was done with the help of these gels - that is, it was injected, in fact, into any point.
Particularly popular was the introduction of gel into breast tissue for the purpose of breast enlargement. “I came, gave an injection and left.” It lasted for quite a long time and many such surgeries were performed, but as time passed, people began to notice its side effects. And these side effects turned out to be so terrible that there are still patients wearing this gel. The gel migrates, changes tissue - inflammation begins, patients experience pain and discomfort.
What is this gel that was previously injected into the breast? Is it dangerous in itself?
This is a polyacrylamide gel. Its composition itself does not contain substances that provoke the development of infections. Infections are associated, rather, with the method of administration. But his aggression and tissue changes are a much worse process. Its migration is also an extremely unpleasant process.
Therefore, I urge all patients who still have this gel in their body (even if it does not bother them) to remove it, because it is a “time bomb” and someday the gel will make itself felt. To prevent this from happening, I strongly recommend removing it. If this disrupts the aesthetic picture of the mammary glands, then there are shell methods for correcting the shape and size of the breast, which are reversible, but wearing gel is, I repeat, dangerous. Any chronic source of infection - carious tooth, tonsillitis - for all this, the gel is a good nutrient medium, which can eventually become infected.
Is this method of breast enlargement practiced now?
No. I am glad that all these gels are prohibited both in Europe and here.
That is, the fillers that are now used to correct the shape of the breasts, buttocks, lower legs and other parts of the body have nothing in common with these gels?
Yes exactly. Modern fillers (mainly Macroline, HYAcorpH) do not give such side effects. They are safe for health and completely dissolve on their own after some time (a year and a half). Filler injections are carried out strictly in the operating room. There are several methods for its introduction - fan-shaped or, conversely, at one point. There are pros and cons - but in any case, this technique is temporary. If you look at the statistics given by Macroline itself, satisfaction with the result after six months or a year drops to 60%.
Does this mean that the injections need to be repeated annually?
Yes need. But if satisfaction drops so quickly, there is only one conclusion - it is easier to do breast replacement, which will last for many years. In all respects: aesthetic satisfaction of the patient, doctor, as well as cost, frequency of procedures - breast prosthetics is preferable to experiments with gels and fillers. In addition, prosthetics are reversible, do not harm health and are safe. Because any experiments with the mammary gland must first of all be safe.
What does a patient need to know about the gel/filler to be calm?
Modern gels that are used today are absolutely safe, they dissolve - they break down into water, carbon dioxide and completely leave the body. But here it is necessary to take into account, first of all, the expediency of these procedures. If this is some kind of relief defect, especially in a sedentary area, then fillers work brilliantly here. If we talk about breast augmentation, then only very small breasts can be increased by a maximum of one size using fillers. This is done if the patient completely disagrees with having a foreign body in the body in the form of an implant. In these cases, surgeons follow the client’s lead, but whether this is worth doing is a controversial issue.
That is, if today a patient decides to enlarge any part of her body using fillers, can she be calm that it is safe, that the gel will dissolve and will not harm her health?
Yes, over time it will definitely resolve. Even if it migrates, it will still resolve. It is important that the gel is administered only in an operating room, since any foreign body can become infected with some kind of infection - therefore, all antiseptic rules must be followed.
It's clear. Let's return to the polyacrylamide gel, which your colleagues actively introduced several years ago - is it possible to remove it in one go and immediately perform breast augmentation with implants?
Let me make a reservation right away that it is impossible to completely remove it; it sometimes saturates the tissues and changes them. If the gel has migrated under the skin, then the structure of the skin changes, it becomes waxy, dry, not to mention the breast tissue itself. It even happens that the gel implanted under the mammary gland has to be removed already in the knee area, not to mention the neck, occipital region and other tissues. Its migration is completely unpredictable, like any non-shell filler and gel.
It is possible to remove the gel and enlarge the breast at the same time only if the gel is not in the active phase of inflammation. It is, of course, advisable to split these operations into two stages. But if the gel behaves calmly, if its quantity is minimal and it is clearly encapsulated, endoprosthetics can be done simultaneously. It depends on how much the tissue is changed, because it does not just form a capsule - it permeates the tissue, it can change the muscle structure, forming granulomas.
In these cases, and if a large amount of gel was injected, the best alternative is the first step to remove the gel within the unchanged tissues and delay surgery for 2-3 months to correct the shape and size of the breast, which is usually solved by endoprosthetics. It is advisable, and many surgeons adhere to this principle, to wait at least 3-6 months. And this is also correct.
Is the operation itself complicated? How long does it last?
Depending on where and how the gel is located, whether it is encapsulated or free, but as experience shows, it is impossible to completely, 100% remove it.
Is it possible to combine gel removal with any other operation other than endoprosthetics?
You can redistribute breast tissue, reassemble the breast - all this can be done simultaneously (in one go). It all depends on how much gel we removed. If the volume is large, then in any case you need to redistribute the tissue, because this will immediately affect the aesthetic appearance. Whether it will be a breast lift or endoprosthetics depends on the primary shape of the breast and the final vision and desire of the patient.
What do patients most often come with—to remove gel and improve the aesthetic appearance of their breasts? Or in some cases does the gel need to be removed for medical reasons?
Patients come in who want to remove the gel and immediately put their breasts in order, but almost every second one comes with complaints of periodic nagging pain and redness - in these cases we do not immediately perform endoprosthetics. We first remove the gel, the patient receives antibiotic therapy, anti-inflammatory therapy, and after 3-4, or even 6 months, we install implants. If it is a small volume of gel, we can immediately install mammary implants.
What is the rehabilitation like and how large are the post-operative scars?
All this depends on what the patient was initially admitted with. If this is an inflammatory process, then drainage, longer antibiotic therapy, and physical therapy are placed. All this can last about 2 months. If the volume is small and there is no inflammation, then the recovery period lasts no more than a month.
Scars also depend on what we do. If we simply remove the gel, and if it is a small volume, then this is done through micro-incisions. Only axillary access is rarely used in this case, because in order to ensure removal of all the gel, more open access is needed. The axillary approach is ideal for primary prosthetics, but not for gel removal.
What tests need to be taken before surgery to remove gel from the breast?
All tests approved by the Ministry of Health for anesthesia and additionally ultrasound and MRI of the mammary glands to determine the extent of the spread of the gel and its exact location.

Flaws
Despite many advantages, the method has some disadvantages, namely:
- Difficulty in diagnosing the mammary glands. It is not recommended to take an x-ray of the mammary glands after the procedure, as fillers will be visible in the image. Doctors may make a mistake in diagnosis, mistaking the consequences of the procedure for a tumor.
- The difficulty of palpation and the examination of the breast itself for the presence of neoplasms.
- Fragility. The effect lasts for a maximum of 2 years.
- Possibility of filler migration.
- Possibility of infection. To avoid such a problem, you should maintain hygiene and follow the advice of a cosmetologist.
- High cost of the service.
Which implants are best to choose?
Implants vary in shape: anatomical and round. The former, due to their teardrop shape, create soft and natural breast contours. The mammary glands look very natural. Round implants give the breasts a visually larger size and make them appear raised (push-up). With them, the contour of the upper neckline becomes higher.
Breast implant profile types also vary: from low to extra high. The surface of silicone implants can be smooth or textured.
Your doctor will help you choose implants. Having extensive experience in mammoplasty, the surgeon will recommend several manufacturers and also explain which implant shape will look best in your case.
During the consultation, you will be able to try on models of implants - sizers, in order to imagine what the shape of the future breast shape will be.
Moscow surgeons specializing in breast augmentation use various silicone implants in their practice. We use implants from Sebbin, Allergan, etc. They come with a lifetime warranty.
Preparation
Two weeks before the injections, you are required to undergo a general examination and tests, which will be prescribed by the specialist responsible for the procedure.
As a rule, this is a general blood and urine test, biochemistry, and coagulogram. The doctor must give a referral for an electrocardiogram and ultrasound of the mammary glands. It is necessary to consult with a therapist and endocrinologist on the eve of surgery.
It is not recommended to drink alcohol several days before injections. Important! The doctor must know about taking any medications on the eve of surgery.
Recommendations for breast lipofilling
- The patient’s inability or unwillingness to install breast implants in order to change the shape and volume of the mammary glands.
- The need for additional correction after breast replacement in thin women to prevent displacement of the implants and build-up of the subcutaneous fat layer above them (as a preventive measure for contouring).
- A slight change in volume with modeling the shape, oval, eliminating slight asymmetry of the mammary glands.
Breast lipofilling can also be performed in combination with liposuction to create more proportional, seductive body contours.

Technique
This operation must be performed by a qualified specialist who has completed a special training course. He must have diplomas and certificates confirming his qualifications.
The work is carried out in several stages:
- The skin is treated with an antiseptic and a local anesthetic is applied.
- After a few minutes, the drug is slowly injected into pre-marked areas.
- Fillers can be injected using different methods (the area under the mammary gland or under the pectoralis major muscle). This depends on the original breast shape and the desired result.
- After HA is administered, the tissues are again treated with an antiseptic.
The maximum volume of the drug administered into one mammary gland should not exceed 300 ml.
Benefits of breast fillers
Breast augmentation with hyaluronic acid has a number of advantages compared to other methods of correcting defects in appearance:
- preparations used for this purpose are easily compatible with living tissues , since they are identical in composition to the hyaluronic acid they produce;
- placing filler into the chest does not require incisions or painful general anesthesia;
- the bust after the intervention looks as natural as possible , does not lose its individuality, since the distribution of the gel occurs quite quickly and unhindered;
- the breast remains “their own” to the touch , although it becomes more elastic;
- a shorter rehabilitation period allows you not only to quickly get rid of discomfort and swelling, but also to see a renewed, improved bust sooner;
- if desired, the result of the intervention can be easily corrected.
Rehabilitation
The recovery period lasts on average from one to three weeks, depending on the individual characteristics of the body.
In order not to provoke serious complications, for several weeks after the procedure you should refrain from visiting the pool, solarium or sauna, and avoid hypothermia.
It is strictly forbidden to sleep on your chest to prevent displacement of the gel. You should also not do massages during the recovery period.
For the first 3-4 weeks, it is recommended to reduce physical activity, especially on the upper body. You should not wear regular bras or clothes made from synthetic fabrics.
During the rehabilitation period, you are required to wear special compression garments.
If you follow these simple recommendations, the result will only please you.

Recovery period and care
The effect of lip augmentation will be noticeable immediately after the procedure. However, it is possible to fully evaluate the result when the swelling completely subsides. After about two weeks, the patient needs to come back for a follow-up appointment. The specialist will conduct an examination and decide whether additional correction of the lip shape is needed.
During the two weeks between doses, it is recommended to follow these instructions:
- on the first day, decorative cosmetics should not be applied to the lips and the area around them;
- Avoid hot food and drinks for 24 hours;
- give up cigarettes and alcohol for 72 hours;
- It is also advisable to drink more water for three days;
- reduce any physical activity for a few days;
- refrain from kissing for 3-5 days;
- do not visit the sauna or solarium for a week;
- do not sleep on your stomach;
- use chapstick and Bepanten ointment to heal the skin after injections.
In rare cases, the body may have a negative reaction to fillers. During the first day, the following symptoms are acceptable:
- redness,
- swelling,
- soreness,
- small hematomas at the injection sites.
If serious side effects occur (numbness, severe itching, lumps, significant swelling), you should immediately contact your cosmetologist.
Complications
Patients rarely experience any complications after the procedure. Common side effects include:
- bruises and swelling at the sites of skin punctures;
- minor pain in the chest area;
- elevated body temperature (rare).
Such symptoms are observed for two days after surgery.
Sometimes more serious consequences arise. In most cases, this occurs due to the patient’s failure to comply with recommendations during the rehabilitation period or after the procedure, contrary to contraindications.
The following complications are likely:
- migration and spreading of gel;
- inflammatory processes;
- the gel does not hold its given shape well;
- asymmetry;
- necrosis of breast tissue (occurs when an infection occurs).
Fillers for a chic bust
There are the following brands of breast fillers:
- "Macroline" . This is a hyaluronic acid preparation characterized by high viscosity. This feature makes it possible, when introduced into the tissue of the mammary glands, to increase them by 1 - 1.5 sizes, as well as to lift them. Most often it is used to correct breast volume, since Macroline is certified in Europe and Russia.
- "Princess Contou " This drug from the “Princess” line has the highest density. But in terms of quality and duration of the effect, it is inferior to Macroline.
- "Surgiderm 30 XP" . This is the densest hyaluronic gel offered by the Sujiderm brand. But it is more suitable for correcting other methods of changing the mammary glands.
Girls who want to enlarge their bust without surgery should know that choosing fillers for breast enlargement is more difficult than similar products for lips or wrinkle removal. There are much fewer of them, since a prerequisite for maintaining the shape and elasticity of the breast is a high density of the gel.
In some clinics, patients continue to be offered to enlarge their bust by administering drugs with a combined composition or a completely chemical one. But they have fewer and fewer adherents. Artificial components not only do not dissolve over time, but can also migrate in the mammary glands. The breasts acquire unsightly bulges and asymmetry. But you can’t correct problems with hyaluronic acid later. Another difficulty is that they provoke the formation of fibrous capsules, which have to be surgically removed along with their own tissues.
Efficiency
The desired result lasts 12-24 months. The acid dissolves in the body over time.
The duration of the effect depends on individual characteristics, in particular, on the condition of the skin, its firmness and elasticity. The final result is assessed at the end of the rehabilitation period.
To maintain the effect, corrections should be made every 1-2 years. During the initial correction, 40% of the original volume of filler is injected into the mammary glands.
With the second - about 15%. This method significantly prolongs the effect and reduces the risk of premature loss of breast shape.
Indications for lip correction with hyaluronic acid
At Estet Clinic, with the help of injection contouring, you can correct many appearance flaws in just 20-30 minutes:
- asymmetry – if the upper lip is noticeably fuller than the lower lip or vice versa;
- drooping corners of the mouth - correction of this problem has a rejuvenating effect and makes the face more attractive;
- unclear lip contour – the procedure helps to make this part of the face more expressive;
- insufficient volume – lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid, with proper selection of the method, will give them juiciness and moderate “childish” swelling;
- the appearance of age-related changes - filling can hide the signs of aging and remove fine wrinkles;
- dry lips – biorevitalization makes the skin in this area more elastic and firm.
Prices
The technique is quite expensive. The final price depends on the following factors:
- amount of filler introduced;
- cost of the drug;
- prestige of the clinic;
- cost of services of a cosmetologist.
At the moment, only one drug with hyaluronic acid has been developed - Macroline. The price for 1 ml of this substance is 500-800 rubles.
The minimum amount of drug to be administered per procedure is 100 ml. In Russia, the average cost of the procedure varies from 150 to 300 thousand rubles.
Alternative Methods
Mammoplasty
The idea is to introduce silicone implants into the mammary glands. This technique is effective, but has many disadvantages.
Firstly, surgery is required under general anesthesia, and secondly, problems with implants may arise.
After injections with hyaluronic acid, the breasts look more natural than after mammoplasty.
Thread lift
This technique is aimed at correcting and improving the shape of the bust without surgery.
Despite the simplicity of the procedure, it is not suitable for everyone and has a number of serious limitations.
As a result of a thread lift, the breasts do not increase in volume, but become firmer, more elastic and toned.
Mesotherapy
The technique consists of introducing a meso-cocktail into the mammary glands, the composition of which is determined by a specialist, depending on the problem.
Mesotherapy helps to slightly enlarge the breasts, get rid of stretch marks, age spots and scars. Many patients note the pain of this procedure.
Laser correction
This is a relatively new technology for bust correction. Its essence lies in the use of laser beams that affect the mammary glands.
Unlike other methods, laser technology only allows you to tighten and slightly improve the shape of the breast.
Bust enlargement with your own fat
The procedure involves taking your own fatty substance from problem areas, after which special processing of the fat is carried out and its subsequent injection into the mammary gland area.
The indisputable advantage of this technology is that foreign bodies and substances are not introduced into the body.
In addition to increasing volume, you can simultaneously get rid of unnecessary fat deposits. This technique is not suitable for girls with underweight.

Traditional methods
The most common methods of breast enlargement using folk remedies include:
- Iodine mesh.
- Applying compresses.
- Use of special infusions.
The effect of folk remedies is possible only after very long use.
Breast Augmentation – Breast Implants
Breast augmentation is most often performed through breast implants. The first breast implants made from silicone were created back in the 1960s and have made a lot of difference
Initially, there was much doubt about the quality of the implants, especially since the risk of complications associated with their durability and surgical intervention was relatively high. What happened to lovers of large breasts. The implants burst during flights and physical exertion, moved and became deformed for no reason, and often caused complications - tissue fibrosis. But this did not stop women striving to look sexier.
The fifth generation breast implants currently in use are characterized by very good quality, a high degree of safety and, most often, a lifetime guarantee. They are made from a silicone bag filled with a thick gel. The implant shell is durable and resistant to damage. According to the manufacturers, even if the top layer of the implant is damaged, leakage is prevented by the specific consistency of the gel.
Unlike previous versions, implants currently used in plastic surgery have a porous surface, thereby minimizing the risk of formation of pathological fibrous capsules in the breast. But since each person’s body is individual, no surgeon can give a 100% guarantee that everything will go smoothly. Complications, although rare, do occur: implants move down and to the sides, leak and simply become boring.
