What is rosacea

Cuperosis is a disease characterized by dilation and fragility of small blood vessels.

Depending on the degree of skin damage, there are 3 stages of the disease:

  1. Small lesions appear on dry skin, accompanied by itching. On combination and oily skin, the disease does not manifest itself.
  2. Stars and red threads appear on the cheeks and wings of the nose.
  • Areas affected by the disease become purple and protruding nodes appear.

Peeling is allowed only in the first two stages of the disease. In case of extensive damage (stage 3), all manipulations with the skin are prohibited. In this case, medical treatment is necessary.

Peeling for rosacea

Couperosis affects people who lead a sedentary lifestyle, often consume fatty and spicy foods, alcohol, and have vascular diseases. In addition, rosacea affects those with thin, sensitive skin.

Period after the procedure

As such, there is no rehabilitation after the procedure, but there is an unspoken list of actions that should not be done during the skin restoration stage. So, on the first day it is not recommended to wash your face or use decorative cosmetics, and during the week you should limit physical activity and avoid visiting saunas and steam baths . At the same time, we should not forget about the need for regular antiseptic treatments, and as the skin heals, the use of skin care cosmetics to maintain the achieved effect.

Benefits and harms

Which is better: peeling or facial cleansing?

Regardless of the type of peeling, the procedure will provide the following benefits:

  • deformed blood vessels are eliminated as a result of burning the top layer of skin;
  • with a regular procedure, spider veins are destroyed and the epidermis is smoothed;
  • the absence of skin diseases is ensured for a long time.

The disadvantages include the unpredictability of the body's reaction to one or another peeling component.

Side effects

The higher the cleaning efficiency, the more complications arise after it is carried out. Thus, the main side effects appear after manual intervention. These are: hyperemia, swelling, persistent pain. In addition, the appearance of new pimples may be an unpleasant consequence of the procedure. This side effect is explained by injury to soft tissues due to unqualified actions of a cosmetologist. As a rule, complications persist for 3-5 days, do not require treatment and go away on their own.

As for the hardware effect, it is absolutely safe from the point of view of side effects and is not accompanied by any negative reaction of the body.

What peelings can be done for rosacea?

Homemade facial peeling for dry skin

For rosacea, not all types of peeling are indicated for use. Only gentle, non-deeply penetrating types are allowed for use. Aggressive, deep impact will damage the vessels even more, the disease can spread to healthy areas. There are only a few types of cleansing that can be used for rosacea.

Mechanical

During this type of peeling, substances with small particles are used to remove dead skin cells. Coral is the most common substance used in this type of cleansing.

Mechanical facial peeling

Coral

Coral powder is an abrasive substance; it must be used carefully so as not to damage the capillaries. The procedure tightens the skin and increases its resistance to external influences. This type of peeling cannot completely cure rosacea, since the vessels are located below the level to which coral particles can penetrate.

Chemical

This type of peeling uses fruit acids and alkalis. With the help of cosmetic products containing these substances, the skin is restored at the cellular level, its keratinized particles are exfoliated, and the functioning of the sebaceous glands is normalized.

Chemical peeling of the face

Glycolic

Glycolic acid is one of the popular products used to cleanse the body. It eliminates wrinkles, improves complexion, and effectively affects the mild stages of rosacea. The molecules of this acid are small and easily penetrate the epidermis.

Note! The property of glycolic acid to quickly penetrate deep into the skin can cause inflammation of the skin, so it must be combined with green tea or chitosan.

The procedure is performed as follows:

  • the surface of the skin is degreased with a water-based lotion;
  • the prepared preparation is applied;
  • after 10 minutes the mixture is removed;
  • The face is covered with a nourishing mask.

Peeling procedure

Almond

Facial cleansing for rosacea with this option is suitable for those with dark and/or tanned skin. Mandelic acid has a fairly large molecule that will provide a gentle effect on the epidermis.

The advantages of this procedure include:

  • has anti-inflammatory effects;
  • no skin irritation;
  • the depth of penetration into the epidermis is regulated.

For rosacea, salicylic peeling is prohibited. Although it is considered effective for cleansing the face, salicylic acid is an aggressive substance and can further harm the skin.

Important! For rosacea, concentrated acid peels that penetrate deeply into the skin are prohibited. The decision on the level of concentration must be made by a specialist.

Physical

Carried out in specialized centers, it cleanses and rejuvenates the skin for a long time.

Carbon

The effect on the affected skin by this method occurs in combination with carbon nanogel and a laser beam (chemical and physical exfoliation). The nanogel penetrates the epidermal cells, cleansing them of toxins. The procedure helps accelerate metabolism in cells, fills folds with collagen, reduces vascular network, treats pimples and acne. Carbon peeling has an anti-aging effect.

Features of the disease

Cuperosis is a specific vascular disease in which dilation of the capillaries is observed. A mesh of them is noticeable on the surface of the face, since capillaries and vessels are located very close to the skin.

Symptoms may appear in different ways. In some cases, capillary stars appear, itching and peeling may be felt. At the beginning of the disease, the symptoms are mild, but as the disease progresses, the pain can become very severe.

With such a problem, the choice of procedures must be careful and carefully thought out.

Folk recipes

Traditional medicine has compiled many recipes in the form of decoctions, infusions, masks, and creams. They are easy to make because you usually always have the ingredients on hand at home.

Raw potato mask

This mask works well for facial redness. To prepare it, fresh potatoes are grated and the pulp is immediately applied to the face. After 10 min. it can be removed with a decoction of calendula or chamomile.

Berry mask

To prepare such a mask, you need to mix 1 teaspoon of potato starch with any berries (raspberries, strawberries, sea buckthorn, lingonberries). Apply the mask to a cleansed face for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Fruit peeling

Homemade cream

You can prepare it yourself by adding a powdered ascorutin tablet to a regular cream.

Note! It is preferable to cleanse your face in spring or autumn, since in summer the epidermal tissue can be damaged by ultraviolet radiation, and in winter by cold wind or frost.

Ultrasonic facial cleansing for rosacea

When mechanically cleaning the skin, it is necessary to warm it up using masks or a steam generator. As a result, the pores open, but the blood vessels dilate, causing the skin to become red. Is it possible to carry out ultrasonic cleaning for rosacea? Ultrasonic cleaning for rosacea is not only possible, but also necessary.

This procedure is carried out in the salon using a special apparatus. It is completed within 30-40 minutes, its results are visible instantly.

Cleaning is carried out as follows:

  1. The skin is cleansed of makeup and oil residues using makeup remover, then wiped with a water-based toner.
  2. To better open the pores, a special gel is applied to facilitate better penetration of the ultrasonic wave.
  3. Using a spatula connected to the device, the specialist cleanses the skin of impurities: they are pushed out from the inside by an ultrasonic wave.
  4. After completing the procedure, the remaining gel is removed from the face, then it is wiped with tonic.
  5. A cream suitable for your skin type is applied.

Ultrasonic facial cleansing

Contraindications include the presence of neoplasms, epilepsy, viral diseases, and the presence of threads for facial reinforcement.

Cleaning and peeling: the same thing or different procedures?

The terms “cleansing” and “peeling” are often used to refer to the same procedure, but in fact they are two independent methods of action. The first is intended to combat skin impurities, and the second is to eliminate the superficial stratum corneum and stimulate local rejuvenation processes. In some cases, superficial peeling is performed before cleansing to enhance the effect of the subsequent, main cleansing.

These two procedures also differ in how they are carried out. So, only peeling can be chemical and laser, and only cleaning can be done manually, mechanically, combined, vacuum, galvanically. To refer to an ultrasound-based procedure, the use of both terms will be acceptable.
